Opera Gloves in Pin-Up Art and the Pulps, Gallery 4

From the 1930's through the early 1960's, the lovingly drawn or painted "pin-up" was a staple of almost every American man's wall. Truly great artists such as Alberto Vargas, George Petty and Fritz Willis (especially Fritz Willis - and let's not forget Bill Ward) depicted beautiful women, enticingly clad (or sometimes unclad!) with great verve and skill, and....yes!...sometimes wearing opera gloves. This gallery also showcases the opera-gloved beauties of the covers of the memorably trashy pulp novels and magazines of the 1930's - 1960's!
