The Kim Novak Glove Gallery, Part 4
Alongside Grace Kelly, Kim Novak was the best and sexiest of Alfred Hitchcock's cool blondes of the 1950's and early 1960's. Like Kelly, in her Hitchcockian roles Novak epitomized a seemingly cold elegance under which sometimes-volcanic passions burbled. As such, gloves - especially long ones - were an important part of her look, as they also were in her 1958 musical "Pal Joey" where she performed opposite Rita Hayworth (who also wore opera gloves in several scenes) and Frank Sinatra.
