"Event companion girls", or "camgirls", as they are occasionally called, in Japan, are young women who attend the booths and exhibits at trade shows and exhibitions - particularly auto shows - and conventions around the country, hawk the exhibitors' wares, pose for photos, etc. These young women are quite popular in Japan, and there are many, many web sites devoted to them; some individual women even have fan sites of their own. As a general rule, "Event Companion Girls" dress in special outfits to match the theme of their booth; these outfits or costumes run the gamut from tres chic to jawdroppingly bizarre. Many of these outfits feature opera gloves and other long gloves, and I've selected some of the best of these photos to show you in these galleries. (Note: Some photos were taken at "Cosplay" events at anime conventions, "Cosplay" being analogous to the costume contests in US SF and comic conventions in that people dress up as their favorite anime characters.)
