Many serious Monroe fans believe that Marilyn never looked more beautiful than in her 1957 film, "The Prince and the Showgirl", in which she played opposite Laurence Olivier. The storyline of the film has Monroe, an American showgirl in Edwardian London, falling in love with the uptight regent of a small Central European nation (Olivier), and Marilyn gets several opportunities to wear lovely opera gloves.
