One of Alfred Hitchcock's most stylish and interesting films. as well as one of his lightest, is "To Catch A Thief". Cary Grant plays a cool, debonair, supposedly reformed jewel thief - I noticed, incidentially, while watching this movie how very much like Robert Vaughn of "The Man from U.N.C.L.E" he looks - and plays opposite the shimmering Grace Kelly as an American tourist. In the first several vidcaps, Grace helps Cary elude the French police while driving very, very fast down a Riviera seaside road (this scene was basically swiped by the makers of "Rough Cut", which owes a lot otherwise to this movie, some twenty-five years later; the balance of the pictures depict Grace in eye-popping elbow-length gold lame gloves at an 18th-century-themed costume party.
