"Funny Face", one of Audrey Hepburn's best musicials, is responsible, according to the recent book Audrey Style, for attracting more people into the profession of fashion design than any other movie in recent decades. No wonder, for the movie is set in the world of haute couture. In keeping with the theme of so many of Audrey's other movies, she is transformed from a bluestocking bookworm to glamorous supermodel, falling in love with Fred Astaire along the way (the dance scenes in this movie are probably the best in any of Audrey's films). Hepburn wears three pairs of opera gloves in this movie, two white (including the renowned scene where she poses, in red gown, in front of the "Winged Victory" at the Louvre Museum) and one pale blue.
